The Newborn Session

Newborn sessions always makes me think of my own children when they were newborns...both the good and the bad. The soft skin and chubby cheeks. The crying, sleepless nights. I will honestly admit that I do not miss having a newborn but I LOVE playing with other people's babies. :) Newborn sessions take time and they take patience but the outcome is so worth it. I just love a photo of a sleeping baby...

Better Late than Never

Yes, it is May and I just now took Easter photos of my children. Better late than never, right? :) It was a little chilly last weekend after a nice stretch of warm weather. My Saturday session cancelled due to the crummy weather so being the wonderful mommy that I am, I drug my own kids out into the cold to take photos. Thankfully, it was pretty quick and painless. When my kids are not fighting, they really do love each other. I think I may plaster these photos all over the house to remind myself of that! ;)

Nature Up Close

Photography has been a hobby since I was a little girl. I am a little amazed at the amount of money my mom must have spent developing rolls of film with photos of my stuffed animals and other random objects. I smile when I think of the photo-shoots that my nephews were forced to endure. (They have admitted that photo-shoots now are less painful than they were when we were younger.... :) I love that a life-long hobby has also become my career. I also love that my career is still a life-long hobby.

I have always loved nature photography and I am quickly falling in love with my new macro lens. There is something about crawling around on the ground inspecting the tiniest of details while looking for the best angle and the best composition that is surprisingly relaxing and mentally vigorating. It is the chance to see the world in a different way....a fresh view...a new perspective...

Siblings

I cannot believe it is May already. The leaves are on the trees, the grass is turning green and my photography business is in full swing. I am loving the warmer weather and the longer days.
