I photographed this lovely couple's wedding a couple of years ago. Now, they are pregnant and ready to add a new little guy to the family. It is so fun to watch families grow! Congrats guys on the baby. I can't wait to meet him in a few weeks!

The Seasons are Changing
It is that busy time of year again with apple pies, pumpkin desserts, colorful trees and lots of portraits. I love fall!

Baby cuddles
I spent my morning with a precious little girl with a head full of dark hair. It has been just a little over a year since I've held my own newborn. I do not miss the sleepless nights or the million soiled diapers but there is something to be said for a good baby snuggle! ;)

Pretty in Parkville
I love small towns with their quaint downtown. I especially love Parkville with the antique shops right next the river with country on one side and the city just down the road on the other side. Perfect... :)

Meyer Family
I typically avoid photo sessions in the middle of the day in order to avoid the harsh middle of the day light but sometimes I'll make an exception. ;) Thank you Elli and Caleb for coming to visit. The little guys were adorable as always. Now, if we could just figure out how to get their little cousins to visit from Washington...

Matt, Class of 2015
I've had the idea in my head for a while to take some photos of a senior with a vehicle next to the lake. So when one of the neighbors contacted me to take portraits of her son with his truck and his dog, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Just like with small children, portraits with animals can sometimes be a little unpredictable. Next pet session, I'll know to bring some paper towels and a trash sack... ;) Thanks, Matt, for finishing the session despite the dog vomit in the back of your truck. At least she didn't get any on your clothes, right? :)
Siblings
Unfortunate circumstances brought me back to my home town recently when one of my childhood friends passed away after an eight year battle with cancer. I am glad that I was able to attend her funeral and spend some time with another childhood friend. I wish that it had been better circumstances but we still made the most of the day. Keremy, we really should get together more often. I miss our artsy collaborations. I am getting ready to mix up some chalk paint to makeover an old desk and can't help but remember the fun we had painting that mural years ago...
