Not everything in life is about perfection. It is about living in the moment and making the most of every day. As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, I've learned that having my own children and working with other people's children is one of the best things that I can do for myself. Trying to pose a two year old or two of them at the same time can often be just like the expression, "herding cats". Maybe they don't need to be in a perfect pose? Maybe they are not going to smile and say cheese for the camera and maybe that's ok? Sessions like these make me think that maybe I need to venture a little further into natural life-style shoots. Maybe I'll spend more time shooting natural light and little less time with the off camera flash portraits. We'll see... :)
