A horse, a dog and a raccoon...oh my!

For me, photography is never dull.  Each shoot is a new experience, a chance to see the world in a different way and an ongoing outlet for my creativity.  I love to show people that there is beauty in every day things...beauty that goes completely unnoticed every single day.  Enjoy the small things, appreciate what you have and live your life today.  When we are young, we look forward to what is going to happen in the future.  When we are old, we dream fondly of the past.  But do me a favor and enjoy today because look how much beauty there is right now...

Baby Chubs

I love a squishy baby...chubby cheeks, fat rolls, tiny fingers and toes...  Six months is such a great age when they can sit up and they have lots of personality!  I could photograph this age all day long.  ;)

Glitz and glam

Have I mentioned lately that I love my job? I'm sure I have...at least a few times. ;) There is a lot of work, both in the field and at the computer late at night. It's not always glitz and glam...but sometimes it is...

3 Cuties, some sweet light and off-camera flash

Lately I've been feeling the need to simplify my photography. I ditched the off-camera flash for most of my sessions this summer and went back to natural light. There is something to be said for the ability to "find the light" but I've reaffirmed my love for using off-camera flash. It is a lot more work to drag a light stand but I suppose that taking the easy way out it is not really my style.  So here I am...back to the off-camera flash, chasing the "sweet light" and blessed with clients who pay me to do something I love.
