Love Story

I am a complete sap when it comes to love stories and this wedding was one of the best love stories I have ever photographed.  I am not sure how I got so lucky but I am so glad that I was able to be there for this wonderful occasion.

Tom and Gretchen were high school sweethearts.  They went to church together and went to the prom together.  Life took them in separate directions for many years...  They tied the knot last week in an intimate ceremony in the church that they attended together as kids with only themselves, the pastor, a photographer :) and his 98-year-old mother.  During the entire ceremony, I couldn't help but think that I was witnessing a real life Hallmark movie.  The heart-felt personal vows, the small details and the open sharing of wonderful memories....*sigh*  I will admit that I am still smiling as I remember that day.  Most people think that a wedding needs to be all glitz and glam but don't forget the important things.  All you need is each other, the love of family and friends and a good photographer. ;-)
