Easter mini-sessions

Mother nature seems to be running a little behind this year.  It is now mid-April and some of the trees and a couple flowers are finally starting to bloom.  Now, if it would warm up just a tad and stay that way for a while!  Of course, we had to get a big snow storm during my Easter mini-session weekend.  It certainly wasn't ideal but thank you to all of you that made it to your session anyway. ;)

Valentine's mini sessions

After offering mini-sessions in honor of Valentine's day, I think I've decided that mini-sessions need to become a regular event that I offer to my clients.  One backdrop, some cute props, clients take photos for twenty minutes or less and then they take their digital images with them when they leave.  Thank you to everyone that participated.  It was a success despite this nasty flu and cold season which caused several cancellations.  I hope to do these mini-sessions again soon.  Maybe for Easter??? ;)

Christmas Cutie

For Christmas, like every year, I traveled out of town and gathered with family.  This time, though, we only spent one day and I only brought one bag of camera gear.  It just goes to show that your setup does not have to be fancy and you do not have to have a lot of props.  I enjoy some fun stuff in my photos but simple is good too.  These photos were all shot with one speed light and my camera.

Happy Valentine's Day

I played dress-up the other day with my kids. My daughter is wearing my wedding dress and my son is wearing my husband's wedding suit. (We were married on the beach in St. Lucia almost 7 years ago.) The hat was not part of the wedding ensemble but belonged to my Husband's grandpa. ;) Happy Valentine's Day! Hold your loved ones close and let them know how much you love them...
